rocket science?!
Not quite. But complex skillsets and dozens of best practices separate top performing websites from the rest. So, how do I make a website that propels my business without breaking the bank, you ask?

Passenger Handbook
The majority of our projects take 2-4 weeks end-to-end, with a relatively even split between design and execution. In more involved projects, customer research, content writing, custom motion assets, or extended design explorations can add time.
We believe in the power of live workshopping and have an utmost respect for the time of our clients. We'll connect live more often early in the project to set strategy and design direction, and deliver updates via Loom, email, and / or Slack.
A strong brand guidelines (or at the least, a brand vision) is needed for our projects. Besides that, we just ask for reasonable levels of responsiveness. A trust in our knowledge and taste, as well as an excitement for our process, usually helps too.
We use flat rate pricing with some flexibility. Some common variables we'll consider are whether we're building from an existing site or starting from scratch, how much content strategy and writing is needed, and how large the website is.
We take a small non-refundable deposit at the beginning of our projects, with the balance due upon the completion of our scope.
We love making life easier for founders and entrepreneurs. We are open to 60 or 90 day payment plans for the balance of our projects.
Moonlanding is uniquely rooted in early-stage tech and venture. A strong understanding of our client's respective technologies, business models & industries allow us to bake in high value brand positioning and strategy into every creative deliverable. We've also purpose-built our team and process for early-stage startups and small businesses who need marketing sites.
A powerful website that improves business results is a multi-disciplinary endeavor. It's rare for a single person to have every skill needed, and if they do, you still lose out on speed and workflow optimization. We've worked incredibly hard to bring together specialized talent so our clients can stop worrying about the ever-elusive "right" freelancer.
We'd totally recommend building off a template if you're A) truly at the "pen-and-paper" stage and B) relatively comfortable with design tools. With that said, it's better to have a site you'll grow into. And unless you need something dead simple, you'll probably end up saving time and money running a Moon Mission vs hacking something together.
We've made the trip before
Across 200+ projects, we noticed a common pattern. Clients kept asking "hey, do you also do websites?" So we spent months assembling the best team in the galaxy (because we're only interested in delivering greatness). And now here we are...doin' websites.
